Description

Job Opportunity: MedSurg / PCU Nurse - Night Shift

Location

Newport, Vermont (small town near the Canadian border)
Rural setting with limited public transportation; personal transportation strongly recommended
Area offers outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling

Position Details

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (7 PM to 7 AM), including every other weekend rotation
Hours per week: 36
Facility size: 25-bed critical access hospital
Role includes working independently and performing charge nurse duties
Floating to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Med Surg and Telemetry experience
Experience in charge nurse roles
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Agency professionals must attend quarterly department education sessions
Support provided for transition into the community and role
