Activities Coordinator

Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work setting includes hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility.
Responsible for directing an activity program to meet patients’/residents’ social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs through meaningful activities.
Programs aim to help patients/residents maintain dignity, mental and physical capacity, and enhance feelings of usefulness, self-confidence, self-respect, and empowerment.
Duties include assessment, program development, performance improvement, budget development/monitoring, and personnel management.
May require working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Hawaii
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in supervisory roles
Valid Driver's License
Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Activities Coordinator involving planning, assessing, and coordinating a comprehensive Activity Program
Experience in budget preparation

Additional Information

Holiday work includes New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, with pay based on hours worked.
Full-time position with flexible shift availability.
