Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Chewelah, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Job Details

• Position floats between multiple units and facilities within reasonable distance based on census needs.
• Weekend work required at minimum every other weekend.
• On-call is not required.
• Block schedules are not required.
• 48-hour shifts are not approved.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
• Immunizations and screenings required:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required).
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted).
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols.
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, with annual medical clearance.
• Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually.

Background and Verification

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report.
• NURSYS license verification required.
• State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable for Washington.
• Social Security card and government-issued photo ID required.
• E-Verify attestation required.

Additional Requirements

• Float policy acknowledgment required due to floating between facilities.
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
• Epic training modules completion required within a week of orientation.
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.

Work Environment

• Scrub color: Any color allowed for RNs.
• No parking fees.
• Critical access hospital with a small bed count, offering a close-knit work environment.
