Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 07:00)
- Schedule: Sunday through Tuesday nights
- Hours per week: 36
- Floating: Yes, floating within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Charting System: Epic
- Local Radius Rule: Candidate’s address must be more than 75 miles from the contracted facility
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO accepted
- Locals: Not accepted
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC only)
- Valid state license for CT Tech (pending state licenses not accepted)
- Current and valid driver’s license or state-issued ID required
- Utility bill in candidate’s name with matching address dated within last 3 months, address must be >75 miles from facility
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- OFAC Sanctions List Search required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification with transcript/diploma matching highest degree required
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (required within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Physical exam: Statement of good health within 1 year of start, signed by Physician, PA, NP, or APRN
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B: Completed series, positive titer, or declination (declinations require annual renewal)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Flu vaccine required annually (with agency-approved medical or religious exemptions only)
- COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form
- Fit mask testing (N95) required onsite prior to or on first day
- Fingerprinting and Oklahoma Screen clearance required prior to start
Competency and Certification Exams
- Unit-specific competency exams with required passing scores (updated annually)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (RNs and LPNs/LVNs)
- Color Blind Testing within 60 days prior to start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (updated annually)
- Core Parts I, II, and III competency exams annually
- Conscious Sedation competency exam for applicable RNs (updated annually)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA and OSHA) updated annually
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Patient Care Orientation Class required for all RNs (skills and Epic training if no Epic experience within 6 months)
- Fit testing for N95 masks completed onsite within 1 year of start
- Completion of facility-specific policy acknowledgments and agreements prior to start, including:
- Health Code of Ethical Business Conduct
- Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy
- Information Access Agreement
- Oklahoma Offender Registration Act
- Oklahoma Responsibilities and Rights (updated every 2 years)
Documentation and History
- Two references required: one from a direct supervisor within 1 year, another within 3 years
- Current and updated resume covering last 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Verified 10-year work history including international positions and employment gaps with attestation if verification is not possible
- Skills checklist aligned with competency exams, updated annually
Additional Notes
- Candidates must submit driver’s license and utility bill with application
- Pending state licenses are not accepted
- No accommodation for block schedules
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience seeking a travel contract in Oklahoma City with night shifts and a floating role within radiology/cardiology services.
