Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology to work night shifts on a travel contract basis. The clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities. Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Experience & Work Conditions
- Floating to sister facilities required within scope of practice
- No block scheduling accommodations
- No local candidates accepted (must live more than 75 miles away)
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 5 days allowed
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list searches required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification with transcript/diploma matching highest degree required
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (required within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Physical exam: Statement of good health within 1 year of start, signed by a licensed provider
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Hepatitis B: vaccine series, positive titer, or declination with annual renewal
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox required
- Flu vaccine required annually (with agency-approved medical or religious exemption)
- COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form
- Fit testing (N95 mask) required onsite within 1 year of start
- Facility-specific policy acknowledgments and agreements required prior to start
Competency & Skills Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams with passing scores required annually (e.g., medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core parts I-III)
- Color blindness testing within 60 days prior to start
- Skills checklist updated annually and aligned with competency exams
- Orientation: Patient Care Orientation Class required for all RNs; Epic training required if no Epic experience within 6 months
References & Work History
- Two former direct supervisor references required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
- Employment history verification for last 10 years including international positions and gaps
- Updated resume covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pending state licenses are not accepted
- Must complete all required facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start
- Candidate must provide all required documentation for clearance before assignment
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience who are open to travel assignments and meet the outlined compliance and credentialing requirements.
