Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Valdosta, Georgia
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work as a Cath Lab Technician supporting adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation.
• Collaborate with interpretation services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • ARRT R

Work Hours

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Scheduled as four 10-hour shifts per week.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Social Security Card.
• Background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, and sex offender search.
• Official transcript or diploma copy.
• Photo for badge (passport style, white background, no selfies).
• Employment application.
• Two professional references.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, renewed yearly.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if positive, chest x-ray within 6 months.
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, completed series, or signed declination)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (facility-specific declination accepted).
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including Marijuana/THC).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start during flu season (Sept 22 - Mar 31).
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption (facility-specific forms).

Orientation & Training Requirements

• EPIC testing on day 1.
• Pass/fail exams during orientation may include medication, EKG, and critical care exams (if applicable). Two attempts allowed.
• Completion of facility-specific learning modules prior to start.
• Competency check-off and acknowledgment of pass/fail testing required.
• Mask fit testing completed at orientation.

Additional Notes

• First-time travel Cath Lab Techs are welcome to apply.
• Scrub color coding applies by unit (e.g., Emergency Department: Royal Blue; RRTs: Hunter Green; others: Ceil Blue).
• Fingerprinting through Georgia GCHEXS system required only for CNAs and Recreational Therapists, not for this role.
• Travelers cannot start with pending background or fingerprint results.
