ICU Registered Nurse Travel Job - Warrensburg, Missouri

Position Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Warrensburg, Missouri
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period (may require more)
• Floating: Required to Med/Surg Telemetry, Emergency Department, and Obstetrics units
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Block scheduling not allowed
• Unit Scrub Color: Any solid color

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Certifications:

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association only)
  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Skills:

  • Proficient with ventilators (vent) and all drips
  • Able to read telemetry

Additional Requirements

• Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-time travelers (must have prior travel experience)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 60 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Identification: Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during shifts
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Drug screen within 30 days of start (9-panel instant accepted)
  • N95 fit test within past 12 months (can be completed onsite)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved declination (deadline December 1)
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology competency and general competency exams required
• License Verification: Primary source verification and NURSYS verification required for RN license
• Performance Evaluations: Required if employed with the agency for over 1 year

• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Color blind testing is not required for this ICU RN position (only required for OB RNs)
