CT Tech (Radiology) - Travel Position

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: CT Technologist performing imaging procedures using Siemens 128-slice CT scanners
• Shift: Nights, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (4x10)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Call: No call required
• Dress Code: Black scrubs required; specific unacceptable attire not detailed
• EMR System: EPIC

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging exams and procedures with technical quality evaluation
• Operate imaging equipment and position/immobilize patients as needed
• Obtain clinical data and patient history for exam correlation
• Apply radiation protection principles (ALARA and “Image Gently”) for patient and self
• Perform post-processing of images
• Maintain aseptic technique and IV skills as necessary
• Assist physicians and nursing units in ordering appropriate exams considering patient age and recent radiation exposure
• Recognize patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiate life support measures
• Provide compassionate patient care and act as a patient advocate

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• No float or weekend requirements specified; weekend hours to be discussed during interview
• Facility is a Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center with multiple certifications related to cardiac and stroke care
