MRI Technologist - Augusta, ME

Job Details

  • Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
  • Schedule: Varies; Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 11:30 PM, weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Summary

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging following applicable standards and organizational policies.
  • Review patient history and physician orders.
  • Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered and within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continuously and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and take corrective actions including repeating procedures if necessary.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
  • Maine State Radiologic Technologist license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification preferred

Experience
