Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week acute care contract, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARRT (R) certification and at least 1 year of MRI experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital MRI department
  • 8-hour shifts with varying hours: Monday–Friday 6:30 AM–11:30 PM window and weekends 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Day shift focus with weekend coverage included
  • Charting performed in Allscripts EMR

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
  • ARRT (MR) or ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Maine State Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
  • Proficiency with MRI equipment, imaging parameters, and quality control procedures
  • Ability to prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures, and ensuring patient understanding and cooperation
  • Positions patients, performs MRI procedures, analyzes image quality, and takes corrective action when needed
  • Monitors patient condition continuously and responds to changes in status appropriately
  • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results following each procedure
