Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Alternating shifts:
- 4 days, 10 hours (14:00 - 22:00)
- 4 days, 10 hours (07:00 - 18:30)
- Shift times vary between 07:00 and 01:00
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in operating advanced ultrasound equipment, computer systems, and film processors
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion toward patients, families, visitors, and coworkers
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and ongoing every 30 days
- Physical exam within one year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (or documentation if positive)
- Required immunizations or documented immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (or declination)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (antibody titer or vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (antibody titer or vaccines)
- 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
- Badge photo with white background submitted at least 8 days prior to start
- Completion of required Healthstream training modules by designated due dates
References
- Two references within the last 2 years demonstrating at least 1 year in a comparable specialty
- At least one reference must be supervisory within the last 12 months
Additional Notes
- Fit testing for masks will be conducted onsite within the first week of starting
- Competency exams with passing scores required as applicable
- Must sign job description prior to start
This position offers a dynamic schedule with alternating day and swing shifts, requiring a skilled Ultrasound Tech with strong clinical and interpersonal abilities, and prior travel experience.
