Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: None
Unit Orientation: 40 hours
Scrubs: Provided


Job Description

  • Perform CT imaging with expertise in adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings.
  • Proficient in imaging techniques including GE, PACS, abdomen, pelvis, chest, carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement.
  • Preparation and/or administration of contrast media and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
  • Experience with cervical, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, and thoracic imaging.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT CT certification
  • Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
  • Proficiency in 3D rendering techniques including Maximum Intensity Projection, Surface Shaded Displays, and Volume Rendering
  • Experience with Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR)
  • Ability to perform Region of Interest (ROI) measurement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic electronic health records.
  • Community hospital and Level II trauma experience.
  • BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications (AHA provider only).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
  • Pediatric acute and outpatient care experience.
  • Skills in colorectal studies, enterography, intravenous pyelogram, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, biopsies, drainage, myelography, vascular CTA.
  • Ability to start peripheral IVs, venipuncture, aspirations.
  • NIH Stroke Certification.
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification.

Additional Information

  • Travelers within 50 miles of the facility receive a rate adjustment.
  • First-time travelers are accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for the associated health system are not eligible.
  • Pass/fail testing for dysrhythmia and medication competency is required onsite during orientation.
  • Facility requires documentation of OSHA education (Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement).
  • Religious and medical exemption forms are available for flu, Tdap, and Hepatitis B vaccines.
  • Hepatitis B vaccine declination requires a facility-specific waiver.
  • Background checks must be completed within 30 days of start date.
  • Drug screens older than 21 days are not accepted; a grace period of 7 days may be allowed if pushed.
  • Facility does not require annual background check updates but the staffing agency may.
  • TB questionnaire required for all travelers per CDC guidelines.
  • Facility-specific flu vaccination deadline for exemptions is October 17, 2024.
