Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Call: Required 4-5 times per month (nights and weekends)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Floating: No floating between units or sister facilities
- Block Schedule: Possible, to be discussed
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending State License Accepted: Yes
Unit & Equipment
- Multi-modality CT/XR Technologist role; must have experience with both CT and general X-ray
- Equipment includes Siemens, Carestream Portable, Phillips IQon CT Scanners, Siemens DR XR Rooms
- Work settings include ER, inpatient, outpatient, adult and pediatric patients
- Stroke 1 Accredited Short-Term Acute Care facility with 153 staffed beds
- Charting system: Cerner
- Parking: Free
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level III, education verification
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 12 months (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations or history accepted)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Color Blind Exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
- Skills checklist and competency exams required annually
- Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (supervisor/manager level)
- Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Additional Notes
- Must be able to cover both CT and X-ray duties, especially when on call
- Comfortable working alone at times
- No floating to other units or sister facilities required
- Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed prior to start
- Self-study orientation and testing required before start date
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are comfortable working independently and have multi-modality skills in CT and general X-ray. The role requires flexibility for call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays.
