Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position

Location: Gallipolis, Ohio
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Patient Load: 12-20 patients per day

Job Summary

Seeking a Radiation Therapist with experience in Radiation Oncology to operate advanced equipment including Varian True Beam Linear Accelerator and Siemens CT. Charting is done using Aria system. No weekend or on-call duties required.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
• Licensure: Valid Ohio Radiology License
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional Requirements:

  • Government-issued photo ID (must carry during assignment)
  • 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, statewide, national, sex offender, and FACIS Level 3
  • Monthly updated EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • BCI and FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (valid for 5 years)
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam confirming ability to work without restrictions (within 6 months prior to start)
  • Fit mask testing within 6 months prior to start (3M 1860 or 3M VFlex 1804 masks)
  • Immunizations and titers: Tdap (within 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (positive titer or vaccination/declination as applicable)
  • Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination for the 2025-26 flu season (required by 12/31/2025)
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination
  • Two positive professional references related to similar clinical experience
  • Employment application documenting 3 years prior work history including at least 2 years in acute care and similar specialty
  • Unit-specific competency exam (updated annually)
  • Radiation badge (provided by facility)

Equipment & Procedures

• Varian True Beam Linear Accelerator
• Siemens CT scanner
• Charting via Aria electronic medical record system

Work Environment & Additional Notes

• No floating or weekend/on-call requirements
• Scrub color: Any solid color combination
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Locals may apply at the same rate

Compliance & Facility Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, orientation packets, competency post-tests, dress and appearance policies, and code of conduct acknowledgments prior to start
• Annual TB testing or chest x-ray clearance for past positive TB history
• Annual TB symptom questionnaire if applicable
• Candidates must complete all required health screenings and documentation before starting the assignment
