ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Details

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (approximately 50+ miles from facility; local candidates within 50 miles not accepted)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Patient Population

Neurosurgical and post-stroke patients
Respiratory failure
Renal failure
Post-surgical care
Trauma
Sepsis and Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS)
Heart failure and post-cardiac catheterization

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Minimum of 1 year ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
