Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Radiation Oncology
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Monday - Friday, Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (5x8 hour shifts)
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Job Description
- Manage procedural radiation oncology cases alongside the team.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist through discharge.
- Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs.
- EPIC charting experience required; oncology and procedural experience preferred but not mandatory.
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
- Pending licenses are accepted.
- Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 7 days.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Information
- No first-time travel nurses accepted.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- Parking available with monthly fees; no charge for straight night shifts (not applicable here).
- Orientation parking requires a fee; scrubs must be worn.
- No block scheduling accommodations.
- Must comply with all facility policies and complete required training modules (except Radiation Oncology unit orientation modules are not required).
- Candidates must have a government-issued ID.
- Candidates must complete all required background checks and verifications prior to start.
- Candidates must upload a recent badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months).
Summary
This is a travel RN position in Radiation Oncology requiring at least 2 years of RN experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and EPIC experience. The role involves managing procedural radiation cases and patient care coordination. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements and cannot be local within 75 miles. The contract is for 16 weeks, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek.
