Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Sunday to Tuesday, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Sundays required (part of the Sun-Tues shift)
On-Call: Not required
Floating: Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required; no floating to sister facilities
Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Must have ARRT CT certification at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- First-time travel assignments accepted
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred
- Work settings required: outpatient and inpatient
- Preferred experience: Level I Trauma center, teaching hospital, community hospital, adult ICU
- Level 1 trauma center with high complexity cases
- Daily caseload per tech expected
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
Requirements/Qualifications
- CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience working in outpatient settings
- Experience working in inpatient settings

Required Certifications and Licenses
- ARRT CT certification (must have at time of submittal)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- State professional license required (Missouri license must be verifiable via NURSYS)
- Background checks including criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific searches as applicable
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include standard panels and remain valid throughout assignment
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be completed prior to start
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually
Facility and Work Environment
- Level 1 Trauma Center, short-term acute care facility
- Total staffed beds: 1259
- Use of EPIC for charting
- Scrub colors allowed: Black, Red, or White
- Parking available with monthly passes (fees apply; no reimbursement)
- Orientation parking available at a designated garage with a fee
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required (supervisors within the last year preferred)
- Employment application must be completed and uploaded
- No pending state license accepted; must have active license at start
- No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
- No floating to sister facilities
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: no more than 7 days off within the 13-week contract
Summary
This CT Tech travel assignment requires a minimum of 2 years of CT experience with ARRT CT certification in hand. The role involves working night shifts Sunday through Tuesday in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center using Siemens scanners. Candidates must be prepared to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and have experience with a broad range of CT procedures. Required certifications, background checks, and health documentation must be current and verifiable. This is a contract position with guaranteed hours and no on-call duties.
