Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (approx. 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4x10-hour shifts
- Shift start/end times may vary by ±2 hours based on unit needs (with advance notice)
- No on-call requirement
- Must be available to work or take call for one holiday during the 13-week contract (rotational basis)
- Floating may be required to a nearby facility approximately half a mile away
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT (CT)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Driver’s License/State ID with an address more than 100 miles from the facility required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years (must be current within 1 year of start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit test for mask within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Flu vaccination documentation or signed declination form required during flu season
- Professional photo for badge (no selfies or filters)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Orientation manual review and acknowledgment required before starting
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges for new candidates are supplied by the facility, not by the agency
- Two clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Annual skills checklist update required
- Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with Siemens and Epic experience who have completed prior travel contracts and are able to commit to a 13-week night shift schedule without on-call duties.
