ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Float Pool: Position involves floating to various ICU and intermediate care units including:

• Medical ICU
• Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
• Coronary Care Unit
• Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
• Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
• Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
• Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
• Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
• Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
• ED Boarders (patients admitted but boarding in ED prior to room assignment)

Job Description

• Must adhere to float pool policy.
• Scheduling: Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Time off: Cannot approve time off for Memorial Day or 4th of July; can approve up to 40 hours for time off.
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• Clinical review and auto offer process applies.
• Epic electronic health record experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
