Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health) – Nights

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health unit. The role involves utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting care, developing individualized patient care plans, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws
• Document patient care according to standards
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments as needed
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately

Schedule Details

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every-other weekend schedule
