MRI Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Turnersville, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Hours per week: 36
• Equipment Used: GE and PACS systems
• Floating: May be required to float to nearby campuses
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday during the contract
• On Call: Up to 4 on-call shifts if needed
• Scrub Color: Black
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification or official transcript
• Physical exam within 2 months of start date
• Fit mask test (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start (must be completed before start)
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required; exemptions require mask use at work; booster preferred but not required
• Professional references: 2 within last 2 years
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start (NJ candidates)
• Facility-specific education modules (approx. 6 hours) to be completed before orientation
• Pass/fail basic dysrhythmia exam during orientation (1 attempt only)

Additional Notes

• Remote Time Off (RTO) required upon submission
• Must acknowledge safety manual and pass/fail testing requirements
• Floating may require adaptability to different campus locations
• Facility does not provide PAPRs; fit testing is mandatory and must be passed with specified mask models
• Candidates with medical/religious COVID exemptions must wear enhanced masks (N95, K95, or double mask) while working
