MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job in New Jersey

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Hours per week: 36
• Equipment used: GE and PACS imaging systems
• Scrub color: Black
• Floating: May be required to float to nearby campuses
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On Call: Up to 4 call shifts if needed
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday shift required
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Valid New Jersey state license for MRI Tech
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certifications
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Must be able to provide unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Must complete background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, education verification, and others as required
• Physical exam within 2 months prior to start
• Fit mask test (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start (must be completed before start)
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required; booster preferred but not mandatory
• Must provide 2 professional references within 2 years
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start (New Jersey candidates)
• Completion of facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) prior to orientation
• Signed acknowledgements for safety manual and pass/fail testing for dysrhythmia exam during orientation

Testing and Competencies

• Pass/fail basic dysrhythmia exam during orientation (one attempt only)
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Other competency exams as applicable to specialty

Additional Requirements

• Must be ready to return to office (RTO) upon submission
• Must comply with all background and health document requirements prior to start
• May be required to work at multiple nearby campuses as needed

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, who hold the necessary certifications and licenses, and are comfortable with a travel contract assignment including weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts.
