Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Albany, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts/week, 12 hours each)
Call Requirement: Approximately 2 call shifts per month
Patient Ratio: 1:3
Work Environment: Very busy hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• ARRT CT (Computed Tomography) certification
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • National Criminal Check
  • State and County Searches (10 years, all addresses and aliases)
  • SSN Trace with aliases
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education Verification: Official transcript or diploma with graduation date
• State-Specific Search: Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
• Drug Testing: Drug screen within 30 days of start (includes cocaine, barbiturates, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, opiates, methaqualone, propoxyphene, methadone, PCP, MDMA/MDA)
• Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit Mask Testing: Completed onsite at orientation
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if positive)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination/declination for:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine required during flu season or agency-approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)
• References: Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment Application and Work History Verification: Required
• Skills Checklist: Required

Testing and Competency

• Basic Dysrhythmia Exam: Required for all RNs and LPNs (not applicable for CT Tech)
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable by profession
• Competency Exams: Required as applicable to specialty
• Primary Source Certification Verification: Required within 30 days of start

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Review and sign confidentiality agreement and code of conduct
• Complete demographic form prior to start
• Complete agency orientation quiz with a minimum score of 84% prior to start
• Onsite training and safety manual acknowledgment required annually

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for an experienced CT Tech with at least 2 years of specialty experience and prior travel assignments. The position requires night shifts three days a week with call responsibilities. Candidates must hold ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, BLS, and ACLS certifications, and meet comprehensive background, health, and compliance requirements. The work environment is busy with a patient ratio of 1:3.
