Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: Leonardtown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week, Monday through Friday
• 8-hour day shifts with varying start times: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM on call days
• Weekday call approximately once a week from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
• Weekend call approximately every 4-5 weekends from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday

• Orientation every Monday, ASAP start date

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Prior travel nursing experience (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)
• Immunizations and health documentation:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if history of TB, additional documentation required
  • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept–March)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (specific to Interventional Radiology and related units)

Experience and References

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
• Verification of minimum 2 years employment in the past 7 years, including at least one prior travel assignment

• This position requires weekday and weekend call coverage as described
• Scrubs are provided for the assignment
• Orientation is mandatory and occurs every Monday before starting
