Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Daily caseload varies by shift and location
- No on-call required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Radius rule: 60 miles
- Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Siemens equipment experience (Siemens Force, Go.top, Somatom Definition)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
Required Health and Safety Documentation
- Initial physical exam, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit test for N95 mask (O&M Halyard FLUIDSHIELD or 3M Aura 1870+) within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
- Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination form
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Annual TB questionnaire
- COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (August 1 – March 31)
- Physical assessment for sterile processors only (not applicable for this role)
Competency and Training Requirements
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blindness test required prior to start
- Competency exam required
- Facility-specific orientation modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- Facility-specific first day instructions and OurDay modules must be completed before orientation; failure to complete results in being sent home
- Clear, passport-style badge photo required before start

Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Floating to sister facilities within scope is required
- Agency must initiate radiation badge ordering process; badge delivery may take 5-7 days before starting floor work
- Parking costs apply only nights and weekends; one-time $20 parking pass fee
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
