Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- ICU nursing position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Required Background and Documentation
- Background check within 1 year of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years; includes SSN trace, county, nationwide, sex offender registry, education verification, and DMV search (for Home Health & Hospice).
- HHS/OIG clearance required.
- Highest level of education verification (diploma or transcript).
- State license verification prior to start and upon expiration.
- Annual competency exam.
- Performance evaluation (most recent and annual).
- Missouri-specific checks including FCSR results, EDL search (updated quarterly), CNA registry check (if applicable), and sex offender registry search.
Required Health and Immunization Documents
- N95 Fit Test (using 1870+ mask) within 1 year of start.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or T-Spot) within 4 months of start; if positive TB, chest x-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire.
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Measles (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Mumps (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination during flu season (October - April).
- Seasonal COVID vaccine or signed declination.
- 9-panel urine drug screen within 3 months of start (marijuana not required).
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Candidate must sign job description and complete orientation checklist.
- Review parking policy.
- Complete required modules/CBLs prior to or during orientation (up to 12 hours of non-billable orientation time allowed for modules).
- Complete COVID-19 vaccination declaration.
- TB questionnaire required if positive TB status.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
- This is a night shift ICU travel nurse role with a 13-week contract.
