Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients following the Nursing Process, state Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies.
Utilize critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to plan and deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Must be willing to float to other units as needed.

Trauma Level III certified
Stroke Receiving Center
STEMI Receiving Center
Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner (experience required)
Dress code: Black scrub colors
NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working in a Trauma Level III facility
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system

Additional Notes

Start date requested within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
