Description
Nuclear Medicine Technician - Travel Assignment
Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary
- Perform quality imaging in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Support Radiologists in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Responsible for processing and transmitting images to PACS.
- Work with mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey.
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- At least 1 year of acute, clinical radiology experience.
- Experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Completion of DCI/BVP workplace violence prevention training.
Required Onboarding Credentials and Health Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination.
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B: Record of 3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination accepted.
- Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
- Tuberculosis (TB) test within 1 year of start date.
- Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity.
- Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted in some states).
- Annual respirator fit test (specific mask types accepted).
- Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
- Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC within 60 days of start (special testing rules apply for California locations).
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date (with some state-specific timing exceptions).
- Completion of specialty and core competencies exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Completion of skills checklist and workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP).
- Prime agency attestation and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Signed current job description (within the past year).
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search completed and documented.
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor.
- Updated resume reflecting recent and accurate work history.
- Annual color-blind test.
