Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Mullica Hill, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) setting.
• Must complete a mandatory orientation including virtual and in-person classes, unit-based orientation, and badge ID appointment.
• Orientation attendance is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend or 2 per month depending on unit needs.
• No holiday shifts required.
• Return to work (RTO) requests limited to no more than 3 days.
• No block scheduling or special shift requests allowed.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• One completed travel nursing assignment.

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey.
• Current certifications required (no pending or expiring within 30 days):

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Must pass background check, drug screen, and employment verification.
• Required immunizations and health screenings include COVID-19 vaccine, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening.
• Completion of core mandatory annual training and competency exams.
• Compliance with confidentiality and regulatory screenings (e.g., FACIS, NURSYS, OIG, SAM Sanction, etc.).

Orientation Details

• Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules must be completed by the first Monday.
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday; location provided via HealthStream on the day of class.
• POCT class attendance required outside orientation week.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted.
• Badge required for clocking in.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with prior travel nursing experience seeking a night shift contract in a fast-paced ED environment.
