Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients
- Weekend Requirement: 16 weekend shifts per contract
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs (no patient assignments as helper or sitter)
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Accepted
- On-Call: Not required
- Time Off (RTO):
- No holiday time off approved the day before, day of, or day after a holiday
- Maximum 5 total days off during the 13-week assignment
- No additional time off after contract submission or while working

- Charting system: EPIC

- Attendance policy: Zero-fault attendance; any missed shift counts as unexcused. Two missed shifts result in a warning; three or more may lead to contract cancellation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
Compliance and Onboarding Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year criminal history across all counties worked, sex offender registry, nationwide social security trace; instant statewide searches not accepted
- Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date is present)
- Education verification required if transcript/diploma unavailable
- Unit-specific competency exam must be submitted
- Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start (including Microsoft Authentication setup, Oracle training, NIH Apex modules)
- Badge photo required before start (plain white background, front-facing, no filters)
- Signed job description, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct acknowledgment, and marketing consent form required before start
- Physical exam within one year of start, stating "cleared to work" with physician signature and contact info
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if prior positive TB)
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (full series, positive titer, or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Drug test within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative results)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1) with documentation by Nov 1
- Two professional references required prior to start
- Verification of last 3 years of work history (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)
- Annual skills checklist and performance evaluation or two references from Charge RN or higher if worked with agency for over a year
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete required lab work within 48-72 hours of signing contract
- Strict adherence to attendance and time-off policies is mandatory to avoid contract cancellation
