CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Night Shift

Location: Jerome, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Monday – Thursday, 9pm–7am)
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Overview

• Combined X-ray and CT technologist position covering ER overnight shift.
• Responsible for performing ER, inpatient, outpatient exams including portables, stroke, trauma cases.
• No OR or fluoroscopy duties.
• Average daily volume: 5-10 CT scans, 8-10 ultrasound, 10-15 X-rays.
• Use of Philips X-ray and portable equipment; Siemens CT and X-ray.
• EMR/PACS systems: EPIC and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS.
• Must be able to start IVs for all outpatient CT patients; training provided for point-of-care creatinine testing (EPOC).
• 24/7 coverage with 10-hour shifts; day shift staffed with 2 techs, night shift typically 1 tech.
• Weekend shifts only if posted; no holiday staffing typically.
• No call or standby required.
• Department orientation lasts 1-3 days, extendable if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Certified CT Technologist – ARRT (CT).
• Certified Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (R).
• Experience required in both CT and general X-ray modalities.
• Comfortable performing basic general scans and following protocol books and physician preferences.
• Prefer experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.
• Ability to float or cover other areas is rare but possible; will be disclosed during interview.

Additional Information

• Radiologist available by call from a nearby facility.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) on staff.
• No scrub color or dress code requirement.
• Schedule managed by lead technologist to avoid one-on/one-off shifts.
• Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address.

This position is ideal for a CT technologist with solid experience in both CT and X-ray, comfortable working independently overnight in a busy ER imaging environment.
