Registered Nurse – GI Lab

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a GI Lab unit with 11 pre/post procedure bays and 3 procedure rooms, exclusively serving GI patients.
• Patient population: Adult to Geriatric.
• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
• On-call required 1 night per week (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and 3 weekends per contract (Friday 3:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM).
• Scrub color: Grey.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Minimum 1 year of GI Lab nursing experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Competencies & Testing

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for acute hospital RNs.
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/medication knowledge required.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement annually.
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policy.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must review and sign confidentiality agreement and code of conduct.
• Complete demographic form prior to start.
• Complete agency nurse orientation quiz with a minimum score of 84%.
• Onsite fit mask testing provided; candidates must bring required forms to orientation.
• AVADE training required if extending past initial contract (online pre-work and in-person skills validation).

Notes

• Return travelers within one year may be required to retake AVADE training if not previously completed.
• Return to office (RTO) limit: 2 requests per contract.

This position is ideal for experienced GI Lab RNs with prior travel contract experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment on day shift with on-call and weekend responsibilities.
