Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, on-call once every scheduling period, may cover other shifts as needed
Job Summary
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders across all age groups: neonate, infant, toddler, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
- Responsible for all respiratory care modalities, including supervising respiratory care students.
- Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, and manage respiratory equipment.
- Some pediatric experience preferred.
- Previous experience with Epic electronic health records within the last 12 months is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa.
- Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
