Description

CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hallock, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Radiology Technologist with CT certification to perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, DEXA, EKG, Spirometry, and CT scans in a long-term care, clinic, and hospital setting. The role involves preparing patients, operating radiologic equipment, ensuring safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.


Work Schedule

  • Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 3 days per week (3x8 hour shifts, 24 hours/week)
  • On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with potential rotating holidays
  • Floating required between main location and a satellite clinic

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • CT Certification (required)
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
  • Experience working in clinic and long-term care settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of general radiography, CT, and ultrasound experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations as ordered by providers
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and providers
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions
  • Provide compassionate patient care and maintain regulatory compliance

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in medical imaging procedures and equipment operation
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection
  • Ability to evaluate image quality for diagnostic purposes
  • Effective troubleshooting and time management skills
  • Adaptability and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Commitment to continuing education and regulatory standards

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide government-issued photo ID
  • Complete emergency contact form prior to start
  • Background checks including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (all must be current)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with specific protocols for past positives)
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella as applicable
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Two professional references required (for travel, allied, per diem acute care roles)

Facility & Work Environment

  • Critical Access Hospital and Non-Profit facility
  • Attire: Any scrub color allowed; closed-toe shoes required
  • Free parking available
  • Badge required for building access on first day

Notes

  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Locals are accepted
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated
  • Must be willing to float between locations
  • Restrictions on taking every holiday off; RTO (Return to Office) approved only at time of submission
