Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Details

Patient ratio: 1:7-8 in Oncology
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (first-time travelers are acceptable)
Float and call responsibilities required
Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
Orientation: Virtual orientation on Friday, onsite reporting Monday
Charting system: Epic
Scrub color: Royal blue
Guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Parking cost approximately $125/month
Candidate must provide photo ID matching legal name on first day
Background checks required: 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, sex offender search, education verification, foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
Education verification required for highest level of education; official transcripts may be requested
EPIC testing encouraged for RNs with prior EPIC experience; onsite EPIC training provided if testing not completed or failed
Prior travel experience is not required for this position
