Description

Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)


Job Details

  • Patient ratio: 1:7-8 in Oncology
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (first-time travelers are acceptable)
  • Float and call responsibilities required
  • Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
  • Orientation: Virtual orientation on Friday, onsite reporting Monday
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Scrub color: Royal blue
  • Guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Parking cost approximately $125/month
  • Candidate must provide photo ID matching legal name on first day
  • Background checks required: 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, sex offender search, education verification, foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
  • Education verification required for highest level of education; official transcripts may be requested
  • EPIC testing encouraged for RNs with prior EPIC experience; onsite EPIC training provided if testing not completed or failed
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position

This position offers a structured day shift with guaranteed hours and a supportive orientation process, ideal for experienced oncology RNs seeking a travel contract in Connecticut.
