Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Clinic Infusion position at a large academic Level I Trauma Center, requiring chemo administration experience and a CT or Compact RN license.
Details
- Outpatient clinic infusion unit within a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center (1,000+ beds)
- Oncology patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7-8
- Monday through Friday, day shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 5x8-hour shifts
- Floating required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Every other weekend required
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Parking available at a cost of $125/month
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy administration certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior experience in a large trauma center setting required
- Triage experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must not have any priors on their nursing license
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Orientation begins virtually on the start Friday, with onsite reporting beginning the following Monday
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
