Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic
Location
- City: Chicago, Illinois
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility (locals only)
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- No weekend or holiday call requirements
- Return to Office (RTO) requests limited: max 5 days, no more than 2 consecutive, no RTO day before/after holidays or on weekends

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certification
Background and Health Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
- Background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years; must include all aliases
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months; PPD not accepted after 12/15/2025
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination (declination must be within 12 months)
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster if low titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster if low titer)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination (declination within 1 year)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/01 – 5/4)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; testing initiated within 48 hours of signed contract
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific forms with legal name (no nicknames)
- Must comply with facility rules of behavior
- Fit mask test required annually; approved masks include 3M 1860, 1870+, 9205+, or Halyard Fluidshield N95; medical or religious exemptions require approval for onsite PAPR use
- References and employment application per state and agency standards
- Annual skills checklist required
