Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health

Location

  • Portland, Maine

Employment Type

  • Travel contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Position Details

  • Specialty: Home Health Care (Pediatric focus)
  • Number of openings: 5
  • Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
  • Weekend schedule options (based on agency needs):
    • Every other weekend rotation with a weekday off
    • Tuesday–Saturday with Sunday and Monday off
    • Sunday–Thursday with Friday and Saturday off
  • Call requirements: No overnight call; callback 2–4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if needed (notification by 5:00 PM)

Patient Care & Workload

  • Patient caseload: 20–25 patients managed, with an expectation of 5–6 visits per day
  • Patient types: Adult medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, genitourinary
  • Equipment provided: Laptop, iPhone, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, and agency bag (all must be returned at contract end)
  • Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maine
  • Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
  • Experience with OASIS documentation system
