Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Night Shift)

Work Schedule
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)

- PCU (Progressive Care Unit) Nights
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Required Certifications
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics (refer to unit descriptions)
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required (e.g., driver's license)
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
- State-specific searches and checks as applicable (Missouri Highway Patrol, MO EDL, MO FCSR)
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel; must remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95 respirators) required and must be renewed annually; onsite fit testing available if needed
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept 30 - Apr 1)
- HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy, and Regulatory Compliance Education must be completed and signed prior to start; annual renewal required
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required; oncology competency required if assigned to Med Surg-Oncology unit
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred within last year)
- Employment application must be submitted and uploaded for facility review
- No on-call required
- No block scheduling available
Notes
- Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel contract
- Floating to Telemetry unit may be required within scope of practice
- Weekend shifts are part of the schedule and must be worked as assigned
This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable working night shifts in a progressive care telemetry setting and meet the outlined certification and compliance requirements.
