Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Weston, Florida
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Alternating 4x10 hour shifts (12:00 PM - 10:30 PM and 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Perform CT technology duties with proficiency in CTA Coronary exams.
- Call required up to 4 days per month.
Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Florida.
- Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (CT) certification.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT CT license and Florida General Radiographer license required (CT modifier credentials not required per facility as of 6/20/24).
- BLS (AHA provider card or RQI accepted).
- ACLS (AHA provider card or RQI accepted) for Cath Lab Techs.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with each contract renewal.
- Primary source education verification required.
- Verification of licensure and certifications within 30 days of start.
- Competency exam as applicable to specialty.
- Facility-specific COVID-19 exemption form if applicable.
- Completion of required online onboarding and training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually).
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start, updated annually; chest x-ray and annual TB questionnaire if past positive.
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no annual update required). Medical marijuana card not accepted.
- Seasonal influenza vaccine required annually between 10/31 and 3/31; declinations not accepted except for medical/religious exemptions with approved documentation.
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses Pfizer or Moderna OR 1 dose Johnson & Johnson required; declination not allowed. Boosters not required currently. Medical/religious exemptions require agency approval and specific exemption form.
References & History
- Two professional references required within 2 years for travel and allied positions.

- Annual skills checklist for applicable unit.
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges will be issued by the facility as applicable.
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint results required per state regulations.
This position requires a highly qualified CT Technologist with specific Siemens experience and all licensure and certifications current and verified prior to start. Candidates must be prepared for alternating day shifts and occasional on-call duties. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific onboarding is mandatory.
