Work Schedule
- 1st shift (Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Rotating weekends
- 1 day of call per month, holidays as needed
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
- Level 1/Stroke experience preferred
Required Licenses and Certifications
- ARRT CT license
- Ohio state license or willingness to obtain Ohio license
- BLS certification (AHA only; Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable)
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Must carry a government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID) during assignment
- Background check required prior to start, including FCRA compliant 7-year search and education verification
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually; must be completed under code 4723.09 (Nursing)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+)
- Immunizations and health documentation:
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions require doctor’s note)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B: titer, series, or declination documented
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster required if negative/equivocal
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (10/31 - 03/31)
- 10-panel drug screen required, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
Onboarding and Compliance
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start; modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome and cannot be skipped
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start for new and extension contracts
- Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care in a similar area
- Two professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director (co-worker references not accepted)
Additional Notes
- Fingerprinting results must be received prior to contract extension; some Radiology/Cardiology specialties cannot start with pending fingerprint results
- Physical exam does not need annual update if no break in employment at the facility
- Latex allergy notification required to ensure availability of latex-free gloves
- Badge photo required prior to start for clearance
- Travelers with a break in employment longer than 6 months may need to repeat onboarding modules
- Traveler’s legal name must be used in onboarding system; name changes must be updated through proper channels
