Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 18:30 - 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (3 shifts x 12 hours)
Job Description
- Participate in imaging technology tasks with a focus on outpatient diagnostic quality procedures.
- Perform CT scans following safety guidelines set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Outpatient experience and IV skills are required.
- Experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT machines is mandatory.
- EPIC experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
Education & Licenses
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Proficient IV skills.
- Experience with GE Healthcare CT equipment.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Required Documents & Compliance
- Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID.
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search, including aliases, all states/counties, national sex offender, nationwide criminal, and motor vehicle records).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter.
- Physical exam within one year of start (can start with physical pending).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (not required for CT techs).
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap vaccine or facility-specific declination
- Flu vaccine or signed declination (year-round)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella antibody titers or vaccinations (boosters or declinations required if titers are negative or equivocal)
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series (booster or declination if low titer; can start with booster series in process)
- Badge photo with white background required at least 8 days prior to start.
- Completion of required HealthStream modules by due date.
- Signed job description prior to start.
- References: Two references within the last 2 years showing 1 year in a comparable specialty; at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months.
Additional Information
- Competency exams required with passing scores (e.g., 80% for general competency).
- Fit mask testing must be completed onsite within the first week of starting.
- Dress code and scrub color information will be provided.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position.
This position offers a focused outpatient CT technologist role on night shifts with a 15-week travel contract in Salem, Oregon. Candidates must have strong experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment and meet all licensing and certification requirements.
