Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D)
Location
- Brattleboro, Vermont
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit Details
- Small hospital with 61 beds
- Labor & Delivery unit has 7 total rooms plus nursery
- Licensed for 11 bassinets and 9 maternity beds
- Overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit
- Level One Nursery; higher risk births are transferred to tertiary centers
- Not a trauma facility
Shift & Hours
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Job Responsibilities
- Care for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP)
- Provide nursery care
- Assist with receiving neonates during C-sections (no scrubbing or circulating required)
- Float within scope of practice if needed (infrequent)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent LDRP experience, including nursery and postpartum
- Vermont RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Ability to work night shifts and follow AWHONN staffing guidelines

- Advanced fetal monitoring experience preferred
