Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (3x12 hours), Friday to Sunday, 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Work schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts (Friday through Sunday).
  • Experience required across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations; experience with neonates and infants preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, emergency department (ED), and intensive care unit (ICU) settings required; NICU and PICU experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with PACS and contrast administration.
  • Experience with biopsies and IV starts preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required.
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC)
  • ARRT CT certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).

  • Social Security Card (required for badge issuance).

  • Background check within 60 days of start date covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including aliases, social security trace, criminal, federal court, sex offender, and education verification.

  • Foreign equivalency education evaluation if education was obtained outside the U.S. (must be submitted within 30 days after start if applicable).

  • Transcript or diploma copy for highest education level (if applicable).

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start.

  • Immunizations and health documents including:

    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine proof.
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination.
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
  • Fit mask test completed within the current calendar year and updated annually (N95 respirators approved).

  • Completion of facility-specific forms including health history and acknowledgment of safety manuals and policies.

  • Facility-specific badge photo meeting strict requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing pose).


Testing and Competencies

  • Pass/fail EPIC test required (2 attempts allowed; 3rd attempt may be approved by manager).
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (pass/fail, 2 attempts allowed).
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam required (minimum 80% score).
  • Color vision test required (minimum 90% score).
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal.

References and Work History

  • Two supervisory references required from clinical positions:
    • One reference from an assignment within 12 months prior to start.
    • One reference from an assignment within 24 months prior to start.
  • Employment application/resume with 7 years of work history required.
  • Verification of all employment within the last 5 years through a third-party vendor.

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
  • Compliance documents must be completed by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
  • Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Facility requires strict adherence to onboarding and credentialing processes including Workday login and multi-factor authentication setup before arrival.
  • Fingerprinting is not required for this position.
