Registered Nurse (RN) - Lactation Consultant Program Coordinator (Days)
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Summary
Provide expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership oversight for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Develop interdisciplinary care plans for patients with advanced lactation support needs and communicate goals with the care team.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Board Certified
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Lactation RN (1 year of experience)
- Lactation RN experience within the last year
- Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
- Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system (strongly preferred)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Information
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
- Holiday and overtime multipliers apply (1.25x)
- Facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital recognized nationally for patient safety and clinical excellence
- Facility offers a full continuum of medical specialties and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services available 24/7
Important Notes
- Travelers must have voicemail set up on their phones for facility communications; lack of voicemail will result in redirection
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License must be included with submissions for consideration
- Permanent address must be included with profile upload to avoid processing delays
- Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; no scheduling changes will be approved after offer and may result in rescinded offer
