Description

CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Equipment Used: GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens
  • Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
  • Total Staffed Beds: 733
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Scrub Color: Navy or Khaki

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Competencies & Testing

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required as applicable, must be renewed annually
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for awareness; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with remediation steps if needed
  • National tech certification and state license must be valid and renewed if expiring the month of start

Background & Health Requirements

  • Background check required within 6 months of start, including:
    • SSN Trace
    • 7-year county residence history
    • Nationwide search
    • Sex offender search
    • International search if lived/worked outside US in past 7 years
    • Convictions within last year or active cases disqualify candidate
  • Education verification related to specialty required
  • Physical exam within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Drug test: Negative 10-panel within 30 days (specific substances listed)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required:
    • TDAP within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative)
    • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative)
    • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted)
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (8/1 to 3/31) or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific form
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but accepted if available

  • Multiple facility documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start, including but not limited to:
    • CT Tech Job Description
    • Confidentiality and Information Agreement
    • Patient Identification Agreement
    • Corporate Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
    • Professional Appearance Acknowledgment
    • Emergency Contact Form
    • Staff Call Out Acknowledgement
    • Policy Tech Access Acknowledgement
  • Photo for badge required: professional passport-style, no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings (unless religious)
  • Parking registration required if driving to work
  • Modules must be completed by Monday prior to start via facility system
  • COVID religious and medical exemption forms require facility approval
  • TB screening form required annually regardless of TB test results

Additional Notes

  • No prior travel experience required
  • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: no more than 6 days off
  • Candidate orientation typically occurs on Monday, majority of the day
  • Candidate must comply with all facility policies and procedures

This position offers a structured day shift schedule with guaranteed hours in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment, requiring current CT certification and basic life support credentials. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements prior to start.
