CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Newberry, South Carolina
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be proficient in dual modalities: CT and X-Ray
• ASAP start date
• Work schedule: 3 nights per week, Tuesday through Thursday

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (to be completed prior to start)
• Background checks including:

  • Standard 7-year search (SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
  • HHS/OIG (annual)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred but not explicitly required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• National and State license verification as applicable
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required by profession
• Color blindness testing required for all candidates

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask certification (3M 1860/1860s or 3M Aura1870) within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (or restart if break >12 weeks)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required annually (masking required if declining during flu season)
• COVID vaccination preferred; declination accepted with possible masking requirements during outbreaks

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents including:

  • Employee Health Screening (to bring on first day)
  • Orientation Checklist and Employment Application (must be completed ASAP)
  • Influenza Vaccine Consent-Declination form if declining flu vaccine
• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Annual skills checklist completion

• Scrubs color: Galaxy blue
