Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Position does not float between units
- No on-call required
- Weekend requirement: One Saturday overnight shift per week
- No block schedules required
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care, Level 3 trauma center
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: No fee
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Prior travel experience
- Direct patient care experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Documents & Checks
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education verification (degree/diploma/transcript)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Respiratory safety clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
- Photo for badge (passport style, neutral background) required
Additional Requirements
- Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via employer’s LMS system
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- Color blindness testing may be required on a unit-by-unit basis
- WA and OR state-specific background and licensing checks as applicable
Work Environment & Notes
- Acute care hospital setting with Level 3 trauma designation
- Use of Epic electronic health record system mandatory
- Night shift with 4x10 hour schedule, including one Saturday overnight shift
- No on-call or block scheduling required
- Parking available at no cost
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with acute care and trauma experience who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
