Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and at least one of the following: RCIS or ARRT
- An official transcript or diploma for the highest degree earned specific to the candidate’s profession for ER, Cath Lab RNs, Cath Lab techs, and RRTs
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills: Circulate, IV start, Conscious Sedation
- Experience with Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Ablations, Coil Embolization, Filter Placement
- Rhythm interpretation and EKG settings knowledge
Shift Details
- 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30), Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week total
- Call requirement: Callback and weekend call required (9-11 days in a 6-week rotation, including 1-2 weekends)
- Floating is rare but may be required occasionally to Electrophysiology (EP) unit
Orientation & Start Date
- Orientation attendance is mandatory with no other commitments during the first week
- Start date may vary (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week)
- Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel the start
- Final start date confirmed the Tuesday before the start week
Unit & Procedures
- Target ratio: 3 rooms
- Complex PCI procedures performed regularly
- Unit systems: EPIC, MAC Lab
- Scrubs provided
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background check within 6 months for clinical candidates
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with exceptions for past positives)
- Required immunizations and titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Physical exam not required for this crisis profile
- Radiation badge required for Cath Lab techs
- Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments (e.g., confidentiality agreement, medication safety, annual compliance training)
- Proof of completion of required certifications and competencies, including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (must pass with 82% or higher within 72 hours of assignment start)
- Photo for badge (passport style, white background, business attire) required immediately after signing contract to avoid start delays
- Must complete online training modules and competency exams as required
Additional Notes
- No Return to Origin (RTO) allowed after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation
- Must be fully available during orientation and start week with no other commitments
- Locals accepted with rate difference
- Interview required prior to offer
