Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract


Location

  • New Brunswick, New Jersey

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift Details

  • Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift (36 hours/week)

Unit Details

  • Labor and Delivery, Level 4 unit with 24 beds
  • No call required
  • No floating to other units

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification

Additional Information

  • Scrubs provided
  • Travel pairs not accepted
  • Return-to-Office (RTO) documentation required at time of submission; manager requests no more than 7 days turnaround
  • Candidates without current IV certification must complete an IV challenge exam or in-person course and demonstrate successful IV skills during orientation
  • Mandatory hospital orientation includes 8-12 hours of McKesson training
  • Candidates must complete all assigned pre-start compliance modules by documentation deadline or risk cancellation

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery on a night shift schedule in New Jersey. The role requires at least 2 years of acute care experience, specific certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring, and completion of an Adult IV Therapy Course recognized by CNJNE. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements and complete facility-specific orientation and training. No floating or call responsibilities are required.
